Children’s Book Week – May 13th – 19th

>1 We all know the classics, Dr. Seuss, Mercer Mayer, Brown & Hancock. But I got to admit, presently books by Mo Willems trump almost all other old authors. Mo Willems books are so loved by kids and the simple reason is that they are ALL good, which is not the case with other children’s authors. Mo Willem’s pigeon is awesome and kids identify with him/her in every story. In the new book “”>The Pigeon Needs a Bath”, the pigeon first refuses to take a bath, not seeing the point, then loads his bath with too many toys (smiles just spread across the room), and then he spends ten hours taking a bath. Everyone loves the pigeon! But we also love “>The Elephant and Piggie series and of course the all time favorite “>Knuffle Bunny. There is so much to choose from. Early readers love Mo Willems books. They are funny and engaging and are great for building reading fluency and sight words recognition. Mo Willems characters and wide selection of books are leaving all other authors in the dust. dedicated to early readers. We all know the classics, Dr. Seuss, Mercer Mayer, Brown & Hancock.
