Bomb: The Race to Build -and Steal – the World’s Most Dangerous Weapon by Steve Sheinkin is a deserving 2013 Newbery Honor Book, Silbert Award Winner, and YALSA Excellence Winner.

Finally a book about the WW II that students actually want to read. A captivating historical narrative on the race to build and steal the first atomic bomb. Sheinkin does the most amazing work combining science, language arts and social studies. Perhaps, the most gripping work of literature that combines work of Einstein, Oppenheimer, and Feynman. I would recommend this book to everyone of age 12 and up.

This is a read you won’t put down.
