Why Teach Graphic Novels/Comic Books

I have been supporting “graphic novels” for readers of all stages, especially the reluctant ones, and boys who just love comic strips. They are tireless reading Sonic X, Spiderman, Star Wars and many other popular comic books that are available in  libraries and bookstores. Graphic novels are written in a study format that should be encouraged in and out of school. It provides great exposure to complex vocabulary , inferencing, and reading comprehension through complex illustrations and text.

Here is a great guide that answers many common questions about comic strips/graphic novels. Great for both teachers and parents.
